Welcome to my blog, and thanks for visiting!
My name is Joon-Soo Kim, and I’m a recovering lawyer. Ten years ago and counting, I left the practice of environmental law to enter the world of business. Today, I declare my career switch complete; my ten years in business school and business exceed my eight years in law school and law.
From the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University to Intuit and now eBay, where I’ve been since 2004, I’ve been fortunate in my exposure to great brands and a broad array of experiences.
I’ve (re)joined the blog bandwagon (discounting an earlier effort in my “youth”) and am delighted to be writing of whatever strikes my fancy, from personal to professional to whimsical matters and beyond. So far, the topics appealing to me are decidedly on the unbearably lighter side of being: reviews of products, movies, Web sites & books; my forays into poker; trip reports, etc. Let’s experiment for a few months and see if I remain uniformly eclectic or whether themes gradually appear.
